Did you know you can add a prominent call-to-action button (CTA) at the top of your Facebook page? It sits right under your Facebook banner and can link to anything you’d like: donation requests, learn more, shop now, sign up, etc.
ActionSprout makes it easy to connect this button to any social action you create with our tool. Then, when supporters visit your Facebook page, you'll be that much more likely to get the signatures, donations, or sign-ups you currently need for your cause.
You can change the button over time, too, as your organization's needs change.
How to set up your CTA button through ActionSprout
First things first, if you haven’t used this feature yet, you may need to authorize a new permission to set your CTA button via ActionSprout. You can go ahead and set it up yourself in the permissions menu, or you can wait to be prompted to do so during the set-up process.
Once your permissions are in order, log into ActionSprout and select the Facebook page you'd like to work with.
Next, open the Social Actions section of your account.
Click the green Share button under the action you'd like to set as your CTA. This will open a sharing menu on the right side of your screen.
Scroll to the bottom of this menu and select the Set As button.
That’s it! Now the CTA button at the top of your Facebook page will link to your social action of choice.
Further customize your Facebook CTA
By default, all donation actions will make the CTA button say "Donate Now." All other actions will make the button text “Learn More.” If you would like to customize that, you'll need to do so directly in Facebook.
Log into Facebook and navigate to your Facebook page. Click your new CTA button at the top of your page and then choose Edit.
From here, you’ll be able to change the language of your button to any of the following:
