By default, ActionSprout captures the following information (as available) when your supporters engage with a social action:

  • Public profile name
  • Friend list (in order for supporters to quickly share the action with their friends)
  • Email
  • Current city
  • Donation amount (if applicable)

You can find this info in your supporters' profiles under the People section of your ActionSprout account. Just look inside your data exports, like this:

On the Gold plan, you can gather even more info including: 

  • Phone number
  • Street address
  • City
  • State
  • Zip code
  • Country
  • Occupation
  • Job title
  • Employer
  • Birth date
  • Gender

Just  open the Social Actions section of your ActionSprout account and click the Edit button on the action that you'd like to use to get the info. 

Scroll down to about the middle of the Edit screen until you see the Ask For section.

Check the info that you'd like to ask of your supporters and, when you're done, click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen. 

Please note: This additional information will be asked for immediately following the primary completion of the action. That means that some supporters will chose not to share this additional information, or they might close the window before they see it. We don’t make this additional information required so that the supporter can still complete the action, to maximize the virility and completion rate of your campaign.
