To get started, log into ActionSprout and select the Facebook page you'd like to work with from the accounts screen. 

Next open the social actions section of your account:

In the top right corner of your screen click the create action button: 

This will open a menu where you can choose which type of social action you'd like to create: 

Don't worry too much about choosing the "wrong" action type 😊  All actions are customizable and do the same job under the hood. If you're not sure which to start with, try a petition, poll or pledge type action. These tend to perform well for a wide range of organizations and causes. 

Once you've decided, click the Create button: 

You'll be dropped into the action creation / editing menu. At the top you'll find a place to fill in the basic information of your social action like title and call to action. Just to the right of this you'll find a handy preview of your action as you build it: 

Below Basics, you'll find a spot to create a "Thank you" message, privacy and opt in/out options, goal bars and more.

Once finished creating your new social action, it's time to share it with supporters! Make sure you Save Changes, then click the green Share button: 

This will open your sharing menu. At the top you’ll find a place to schedule your action on Facebook. You’ll see which page you’re posting to, the message you’d like to include and the time and date you’d like it to appear on Facebook: 

That's it! As supporters take action, you'll start to see results under the Activity tab of your action:
