Facebook has a powerful feature that, as a page manager, you need to be taking advantage of. You have the ability to invite people who have liked your post to like your Facebook page as well, if they haven’t already.

Why would you want to do that? Because by reaching out to folks who've already engaged with and shown interest in your cause, you can build a bigger and better supporter community on Facebook. This will help increase your reach and engagement over time, allowing you to better get out your message to more people.

Best of all, it’s quick... and FREE!

We receive emails from people all the time asking how to set up Facebook ads to earn new page likes. While this isn’t necessarily a bad idea, it will cost you. By simply setting up this nifty little feature, you can reach out to people who have already liked your content, do so in a very personal way, and get those likes you need.

How it works

To get started, first log into ActionSprout, and select the relevant Facebook page from your Accounts screen.

Next, open the Timeline section of your account.

From here, click the More button at the top of any post that has one or more likes.

This will open a menu on the right of your screen. From that menu click on the People option. Then choose Invite People

This will open the Inviation feature inside of Facebook and give you the opportunity to start inviting!

What will these invites that you send look like?

The invites you send will come from your Facebook page and appear as a notification on Facebook. Once the supporter clicks on the notification, they can choose whether to take you up on your invite or not. Most folks will, as they've already shown interest in your page by engaging with your posts.

Known bugs

Unfortunately, this Facebook feature does come with its share of bugs. From time to time, it is normal to encounter a bug where, instead of inviting supporters to like your Facebook page, it will display as a friend request instead. If you see this do not use the feature.

You’ll want to report the bug directly to Facebook via this link: https://www.facebook.com/help/326603310765065

Usually, this bug will fix itself in a few days, so try back again later.
