Did you know that, if you have an ActionSprout GOLD plan, you can apply Google Analytics directly to your ActionSprout actions?

And why would you want to? Because the more information you have about previous post, the better you'll be able to improve reach and engagement for future posts.

To get started, log into your Google Analytics account and navigate to the Admin tab at the top of your screen.

Next, under the Property column, open the .js Tracking Info menu and select Tracking Code from the list.

At the top of this screen you’ll find your Tracking ID. (For example: UA-xxxxxxxxx.}

Copy your Tracking ID, and log into ActionSprout . Select the Facebook page you'd like to work with from the Accounts screen. Then open Account Settings.

Scroll to about the middle, and you'll see the box to paste in your tracking ID. Then click Update Settings at the bottom.

This will pull Google Analytics for all of your future ActionSprout actions.

If you want to collect analytics for existing actions, you’ll need to apply the tracking code to that action manually.

To do so, find the action in the list under the Actions tab and click the Edit button.

Next, open the Integrations tab at the top and paste your tracking ID into the provided box.

Again, remember to save at the bottom of the screen. Then all future analytics from that specific action will be tied to your Google Analytics account.

Repeat this process for any other existing actions you’d like to have Google data for.

Pleaes note that applying this ID will not back-fill past data. It will only give you future data.
