If your supporters are engaged enough to complete a call to action, chances are they might be interested in donating to your cause. Why not add a donation request to the end of that action and find out? It's easy, and you don't have anything to lose. As a matter of fact, your cause may have money to gain!
First of all, you'll need to have a Stripe account and set up integration with ActionSprout. Once you have that, you're all set to add a follow-up donation form to any social action you create through ActionSprout.
To get started, log into ActionSprout and select the Facebook page you'd like to work with from the Accounts screen.
Next, open the Social Actions section of your account and chose an existing action to add a donation form to or create a new action.
Once inside the action Editing screen, scroll to the very bottom and toggle on the Donation option.
You'll create your donations buttons in the Amounts text box. Separate each amount with a comma (no spaces). They'll appear something like this once finished:
It's seriously as easy as that. Now when anyone completes that action (like signing a petition for instance), they'll see a follow-up donation request message on the "thank you" page like this:
Experiment with it. Sometimes the follow-up will be a no brainer, while other times, it might seem too pushy. But it doesn't hurt to try... and any donation boost is a good thing, right?
