Once you have created an Social Action it’s time to share it with your supporters! There are a few ways to do so depending on what you need:
- Schedule from within ActionSprout (Includes option to use Buffer or Hootsuite)
- Post directly within Facebook, or anywhere, with the action short link
This guide will walk through all your sharing options and how to access them 😊
Sharing Social Actions from ActionSprout
To get started click the Share button on the Action you’d like to share publicly. You can find Share buttons for each Social Action you've create under the Social Actions section of your account:

Clicking a Share button anywhere inside the app will open the sharing menu and options:
At the top you’ll find a place to schedule your action on Facebook. You’ll see which Page you’re posting to, the message you’d like to include and the time and date you’d like it to appear on Facebook.
The date and time displayed by default, is your recommended post time. This is the next time a majority of your Facebook fans will be online.
Note: All scheduled actions must be scheduled for at least 10 minutes in the future.
Saving as Draft
If you’re not ready to schedule or publish, you have the option to save the action as a draft. This will save the action post inside your Facebook page’s drafts folder:
From this folder you can schedule, post or delete the drafted posts.
Twitter, Buffer and Hootsuite.
In the next section you’ll find the option to post or schedule your action through Buffer, Hootsuite and Twitter. This requires an existing Buffer, Hootsuite and/or Twitter account and you’ll be prompted to login to continue.
Sharing directly through Facebook or anywhere else
Next you’ll find your action link. This link will always take folks directly to your social action. Use this whenever you are asking people to take action, whether that is on Facebook, Twitter, a website, via email ETC.
Whenever a supporter clicks on your link they are taken directly to the campaign. If they are on a mobile device the link automatically detects that and gives them a mobile-optimized experience.
This link is also very Facebook friendly, so whenever anyone pastes the link into a Facebook post it will automatically show information such as the title, thumbnail, and description of your action.
