Want to easily send a note to anyone who completes a particular Social Action you've posted? Well you're in luck! Inside ActionSprout, we have the option to set up an autoresponder email to anyone who completes a particular Social Action. You can customize this message however you'd like and even include the supporter's name or donation amount for further personalization.

This feature is only available for Gold accounts. 

Getting Started

Just log into ActionSprout and select the Facebook page you'd like to work with from the Accounts screen. 

Then open the Social Actions section of your account and click the green Edit button under the action that you'd like to add a follow-up email to.

Inside the action's Editing screen, select the Auto Responders tab at the top and switch on Thank You Email, like this:

Then you can add the text that you'd like your automated email to include. To personalize it, you can use Smart Includes to pop in personal info like their first name, for instance.

Once you have your message crafted, just click Save Changes. Then any time someone completes the action you've requested, they'll receive an automated email from you. This can help continue the conversation with them and make sure they know how much you appreciate their support. 😃

Some follow-up email ideas:

  • Simply thank them for their support!
  • Send a small donation appeal ("Can you pitch in $5?”)
  • Share more ways to get involved, like events or volunteer opportunities
  • Provide more information about the cause and what's at stake
