Have an important campaign coming up? Want to push it out to a wider Facebook audience than your current supporters? Then consider creating an ActionSprout social action in conjunction with Facebook Ads Manager.
With this powerful pairing, your campaign will be optimized for Facebook, look great on mobile devices (the vast majority of Facebook use), and target the exact audience you want to reach.
And if all of that sounds complicated, you're in luck. It's actually one of the simplest ways to promote a campaign.
How to Do It
On the first page, find the green Create Ad button.
Select your Objective from the list of options. For the purposes of this example, we'll choose Engagement.
Then you'll see some options at the bottom of the screen, according to what you chose. Chose which one you want and name your new campaign. Then hit Continue.
On the next page, you’ll select the audience you’d like your campaign to reach.
See that Audience Definition dial on the right? Pay close attention to that. You want to make sure the audience you select puts the arrow is in the green zone.
When you’re done defining your audience, move on to the next page.
Now it's time to select the social action you want to boost.
On the left side of your page, chose the Facebook page that the action was posted to. Once you do, that page’s posts will populate the lower drop-down menu. Open this menu to find your post.
You’ll also see a preview of your ad on the right side of your screen.
Once you’re happy with your ad, click the Place Order button.
Your ad will then be placed in review with Facebook’s ad team before it's accepted and launched (usually within the hour or so). You’ll be able to see the status of your ads back on the first page of your Ads Manager.
And that’s it! All action data for that ad will then flow into your ActionSprout account and appear on your action’s activity page, like this:
